Historic Commission Meeting June 3 at 7 PM

We have a public meeting scheduled with the Historic Commission in townhall to discuss our project. As you know, our property resides in both the Local (State) and National registers. We have attached a pdf presentation below to download that walks through some pertinent property history, the role of Historic Commission, detailed statistics, sample architecture and a few examples of development in Historic Districts in Fairfield County.
As you may recall, the Historic Commission suggested a meeting with Preservation Connecticut under their "circuit rider" program and they have tentatively accepted an invitation to attend. With a deep 50+ years of experience in the state, their role is to guide developers and towns through processes just like this. In CT, there are approximately 135 Local Historic Districts,
410 with National Registration, and 70 that have both (including our property). As you can imagine, 100s of projects have been done in districts over the years and we would be smart to understand what has been done well and what lessons can be learned to make sure these important properties continue to shine.
Thanks to all for your interest and to the Historic Commission for their hard work and consideration. We look forward to our meeting.
